Braxton Lately

Braxton is one silly kid lately! He is learning lots of new things and is loving to tease his younger siblings. He is having surgery on his ears again...boo! But hopefully this time they can figure out why he always has an infection.
Back when it was warm outside he would strip down and throw his clothes....hey bought that was always pretty funny haha I finally had to let it slide so that I didn't lose my mind every 5 seconds.
Mr. Had his first official can't-save-anything blowout! He thought it would be funny to remove his clothes at nap time, take his diaper off and play in it! I have never been so dumbfounded ha thankfully Marc was home and all we could do is laugh and gag as we cleaned it all up. The mattress was not salvageable.
Braxton learned to take selfies on accident with his iPad haha
Still can fall to sleep anywhere when he's tired.
And LOVES to play outside!!
He has been the hardest child lately and I think it's mainly because of how frustrated he gets not being able to communicate. He also is starting to realize that he can get a response out of kids and adults when he does something not so nice...hitting, touching toys and all the big brother stuff. If only he could remember from one hour to the next disciplining could be a little easier :/
We sure love this dude!!!

Millie's First Day of Preschool 2015 and Other Adventures

To say Millie was excited about preschool would be a TOTAL UNDERSTATEMENT!! This girl was born to go to school, socialize and learn! She had her clothes picked out and ready to go the day before at nap time haha
She s going to a Methodist Prechool which is so cute and fun! They really push their students and I LOVE that they still allow God and the Savior to be the center of their teaching...sure she comes home with some interesting songs, prayers and sayings but even if it's different from the way we may do things in our church, ultimately the same goal is reached, Millie knows she's a child of God, recognizes the Savior and what he did for us and wants to love and serve others....we can work out specifics as she gets older ;)
Such a beauty and of course could not end her photo shoot in a curtsy :)
Her new princess backpack!
Millie with her teacher miss Amanda
When Millie is begging to go to her school (everyday) we managed to get a couple zoo days in with friends
Play queen with little brothers haha
Start dance (another thing she is loving and progressing so much)
And just wants to be older so she can be a sunbeam haha
Show and tell at school is a HUGE deal and she couldn't wait to bring the snack,
She is growing in her motherly ways and is always trying to be "Millie mom" essentially the boss but this time I was fine with her checking Jordan's bum...just wash your hands!!
Her art show was great and her marble painting title was my fav..."hanging stuff"
Can't forget playing outside in the rain!! One of her favorites!!
And just being outside!! She is a sassy little girl and is full of life and lots of love for everyone around her! Excited to see how she grows this year!
Love our Millie girl!!

Jordan Lately

What to say about my sweet boy Jordan. He is seriously the sweetest giant and we are so lucky to have him and his cute little personality. He loves to play outside!! He will go play out there with Millie and she takes him on adventures. He is obsessed with balls and is always trying to throw them and shoot them in the hoop.
He went to his first day of nursery (August 9) and at first he didn't cry but the following weeks and month he cried when we dropped him off. Our saving grace was having two men leaders in there because he loves guys...girls I think he's still trying to figure out why they aren't his mom. Haha
He LOVES shoes and rain boots (even Millie's) are the perfect shoe because he can put them on all by himself! He gets so proud when he has them on and is climbing on everything.
He was very proud of himself when he was able to climb up to the table the first time. It was hard (still can be) because he has lots of weight to pull up. ;)
Shooting hoops after church one day. He loves it and his dad is proud!
Jordan is now my lone buddy on Tuesdays and Thursdays since Millie started preschool and boy do we enjoy it. He gets to play and be silly and I get to get errands run without all the kids. Ha it was a weird transition having only one kid with me but we both adjusted and have fun on those mornings.
Post church pic....boots and no pants. Common attire
When Braxtons at school we play outside and Millie loves to boss Jordan around...it goes over well for the most part...we'll see how long that lasts haha
Jordan's favorite person is daddy...he looks forward to when he gets home and loves to just chill with him. Now that dad has a new truck it's even a bigger bond and Jordan wants to drive in the truck all the time. He says "daddy truck" "big truck" "daddy nice truck" He cries when we have to go in our other car.
I think he is getting ready to be a big brother because he likes to play with dolls and wrap them up and then he throws them haha
Hangin out at the store trying to teach him how to follow. It's hard now that the holiday fun is on every aisle!
Macky and Jordan got to hang out and they are twins! Jordan slept over for the first time without mom and dad and he was not happy about it.
Boy started climbing out of his crib so we started sleep training during naps on his mattress...he always ends up on the floor and we have to lock him in. Haha it's starting to work though
When his big boy bed arrived he liked it but did not understand to stay in. It was lots of moving but I think he is finally adjusted (after a month) but is now a 5:45 am early riser!!! Yay for us! I thought that would end after a month but without fail he comes flying out of his room every morning at that time haha
Some of the fun things Jordan is saying:
"Dank do" "elcome" NO...all day long! "Guggets (nuggets)" "owie" "hi mommy hi daddy" "nigh night" "aff ime" "own stairs" "uh huh" (my favorite) "umkin (pumpkin)" "eleton (skeleton)" "anta (Santa)" "noman (snowman)" "snack (one of his favorites)" "old you (hold you)" there are lots more but those are some favorites.
We just love our J Man!!!

Braxton's First Day of School 2015

Our Handsome Man Braxton is starting his last year of Pre-K!!! Excited is an understatement for how he felt! He knew he was going somewhere fun when we put that backpack on him.
Millie was thrilled to get to take him to his first week of school. She kept saying,"Braxton going to school and I get to go too!"
We thought he would be going to the school just down the street from us but they didn't have the program that he needed...so needless to say, he would be going to another school that is far away and definitely needs a bus. It's a great school and his teacher adores him. He is one loved boy and he LOVES school!
I'm in love with this picture of these two!!
This is his teacher Mrs. Trumbull and she has lots of fun things planned for these special kids. She knows that her job is important and you know she loves it.
After the first week of school, practically living in our car driving back and forth from school, and me calling day in and day out to get him a bus...he got one!!! Yay!! His excitement for the first day of school was trumped when he saw that big yellow bus pull up in front of the house.

Grandpa James Dean Bogedahl

My Grandpa Bogedahl passed away in August and it was so hard to see him go quickly from a vibrant, healthy, awesome Grandpa just in March to a cancer patient in July.
My mom would update us often on how he was doing and every time I spoke to her he was always remaining positive, knew families were forever and was able to keep his sense of humor. Just one month after his diagnosis he passed away peacefully with my mom and her siblings by his side. She said it was so special and the spirit was so strong.
After I found out about his passing I was so sad and wanted so badly to be able to make it to his funeral to show my support and love for such a great man. Marc being the amazing husband he is made it happen!! We woke up early Friday morning, drove all day and made it in time for me to be at the viewing! It was so neat to be there and see so many family members I hadn't seen and years and it was even better to get to see all my sibs!
The next day was the funeral and it was such a spiritual experience. I got to say goodbye to my grandpa one last time and hear all the great stories of his wonderful life of service, kindness, and love.
For the cemetery we got balloons and had all the great grandkids let them off! It was a great way to end the service.

Cousins!
Jordan loves Aunt Amanda!!
Sisters! Not gonna lie that was the hottest I think any of us had ever been in st George but it was definitely worth it!
Missing Brax here...he was hanging with Uncle Matt so he didn't have a rough time. :) unfortunately right after this picture was taken we had to hop back in the car and get home for Marc to get set apart in his new calling as EQ Pres ;) It was a quick quick trip but worth it to be there for Grandpa and all my family!
