Our last week in Omaha was full of lots of Graduation activities. Marc's mom, dad and sisters flew out to come support him! It was so fun to have them all there with us! The first of the ceremonies was the awards ceremony. Marc received the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Award. This means he was the best of the best in that department. I started crying seeing him up there receiving that award. It just proved that all the hours and hours of studying and clinic time paid off. He is my hero and made me (still does) so proud!!!
Later that evening Marc was invited to receive and exclusive award. He and I and Ruth and Rande went to the Happy Hollow Country Club so Marc could accept his OKU Award. The OKU award is only given to 10 students and he was receiving it alongside faculty who were twice his age! This was such an honor for him and he was definitely deserving of it!
Marc got up and spoke to accept the award. After a nice dinner it was time for pictures!

All the while Megan and Melissa took all three kids and went and had fun while we were gone. Millie was in heaven and I'm so grateful they watched the kids so we could enjoy a nice evening of celebrating Marc's accomplishments!
