Summer Break in a Nutshell

Wow! Were we ready for summer break!!! The hour Marc got done in clinic we were gone and headed to our families. First stop: Laramie, WY to hang out with Ang, Brace and their kids. This was a fun first stop because we got to be in Laramie for their Jubilee days! That meant, 5k fun run for Ang and I, and a parade right after! So much fun. The boys weren't as thrilled but they went along with it and had some fun too ;) After the parade, lunch and naps!!! It was a rainy cool day and I absolutely LOVED it! We love stopping in Laramie!
40 min into the ride and we had to make our first stop. Poopy bum! 8 hours flew by! :)
After the 5k, let's just say I was EXHAUSTED (elevation right? ha) Ang and her friends Allison

parade time! Millie loved hanging with Ry and Rush! Braxton was asleep ;)
watching the floats go by. Millie loved waving her flag.
Sisters!
Sunday morning we said our good byes and headed off to Orem!! Next stop for some fun! First thing we did was take some pictures. Ruthie was THRILLED to see Millie and Millie being her miss independent, diva-self was not the best baby doll for Ruthie to play with but it they had fun either way! Megan fed us, we fed ducks at the pond, played played played, went shopping, made cinnamon rolls (DIVINE), watched Ruthie and Mack get their groove on and just hung out! We love staying with these guys because it's like being back in our old home ;) a lot of good memories there! :)
Millie and Ruthie!
Next stop, Cedar for a day, and then St. George! Can you see the trend...WE HAD TONS OF FUN! We got to see Matt and Becky, Melissa and the kids and of course got to tour Melissa's new house! GORGEOUS doesn't come close to describing that amazing house and we were so lucky to get to play there! Marc and Matt went fishing (which was definitely expected), we enjoyed every second seeing all of our family members. It was a short stay because we still had to get to Cali.
Cute cousins!
I don't know why I didn't get any pictures but we stopped in Vegas to break up the drive and had LOTS OF FUN with Micah and Whitney! It was our first time seeing their new house and it was sooo cute!  We went shopping, had dinner, stayed up late chatting, and enjoyed the rain! Yes, IT RAINED! It was kind of a crazy storm but much needed to take the edge off of that heat. Our car was acting up in that heat so we had to get back in the car and finish our trip to Cali. When we got to California we were very excited to see Ruth and Rande's new house. It is perfect and of course decorated darling as usual but the best part is the location! Every night we were able to walk across the street and enjoy some thrifty's ice cream, new restaurants, live bands, donuts, bagels, splash pads, and so much more! We went to their pool and the kids were thrilled! First swimming pool ever and oh boy were they in heaven! I even got to lay out for a little bit ;) One day we went to Grandma Rosell's and after went to the beach. It is always so nice to see sweet Grandma Rosell and all of Marc's cousins. We loved catching up and seeing how everyone has changed. After a good visit we quickly ran to the beach for a little over an hour. We had some lunch, played in the sand and had to pry Millie away from the water! She LOVED the ocean and we were so surprised. She fed the seagulls and held a sand crab. Braxton, was not as thrilled and that cold water was not fun at all! Marc was watching the clock the whole time to make sure our meter didn't expire and while we were getting ready to pack up Marc stepped on a bee! NOT GOOD! We were nervous because we didn't have an epi pen but fortunately Marc didn't have a reaction to need one but we were scared there for a little bit.
Thrifty's and swimming

On our evening walks

Having some fun at the beach!

Dancing to the live band so much fun!
After making it all the way to the coast from good ol' Omaha, it was time to turn around and make our way back up the interstate. Ruth and Rande treated us like royalty and I think I gained like 5 pounds there alone! On our way back we got to stay in St. George again and have some "long term" fun. We stayed there for 4 more days and played!! My kids loved the trampoline time and the razor ride. I think I am still the only one who hasn't gotten to ride that thing! Kids take priority I guess. I call shotgun at Christmas time! ;) I don't know where all my pictures went from our stay there...we went on a carousel ride, we went to Judd's and oh man was that some good soup! I lived there for 10 months and never knew it existed! We went on walks with Becky and Muffyn and played in the rain. We went to Church at our old ward there and it was fun to see a few people that are still there. :) It was so good just to be with family and to enjoy every second!
Razor Ride, Little Micah is quite the driver! :)
After a good Sunday dinner, we packed up again and headed on up to Cedar! We had lots of fun playing with grandma and going to our favorite Mexican places!! Oh how we miss our Mexican food! We went on walks, went to the park and when Marc left for Beaver that's when the real fun began ;) haha We went to the pool 4 times, had a Brad's picnic, ran around the house, lounged, took naps, went to dinner with Grandpa, saw old friends, went shopping, went up the mountain (that was my top priority), and partied! I was a lone wolf for a while so we had as much fun as I had energy for haha Thank goodness Grandma hadn't started school so the kids had a lot of fun having some grandma time.
Magic carpet rides from Grandma. They LOVED this!
Pool time! Seriously my kids couldn't get enough of this place!!
While in Cedar for a week I was able to get together with my best friends! We had a play date with the kids and also had a girls night til 1 in the A.M.! Time flies when you're catching up! We ate junk food and just gabbed all night...It's funny how our conversations are a little different now that we are moms ;) haha Just loved seeing everyone! So glad my parents could watch the kids for some adult time! Thanks mom and dad!
2nd generation. These kids are too cute!
Good times with Great oldies! Awesome friends and great time catching up!
Millie and Pappa at the mountain. Saw things I haven't seen in 10 years! Cedar is Beautiful!
Well, 3 weeks, one more stop in Laramie, and 50 hours on the road later, we made it back to our home in Omaha...with smiles!!! We have great kids and we are so lucky that we have amazing families that spoil us this much ^^^ when we get to come visit! It's hard living so far away but when we do get together it is like we never left! Thankful for eternal families and thankful for "families" away from home that support us here in Omaha!
Still smiling after all the driving!
We are the LUCKY ONES!
*Shout out to all of our families! We love you and thank you for all you did to make our visit so much fun! See you at Christmas! :)
