4th of July

A little behind but that's why they call it catching up :) This 4th of July was perfect! Weather was beautiful, the kids were happy and in their red, white, and blue, and the best is that it was LOW KEY! Marc had to study for boards that he was taking two days later so we tried to keep it nice and chill. We had breakfast in the morning at our friends, the Bosemans, and then had a fun community parade right outside our door. That made it a lot less stressful!

Millie was just thrilled that she got to ride in the Racker's wagon with James. She just loved all of the glitter and sparkles and the attention of course. ;)

Amy appointed me parade marshal so I had to wear the hat! haha And needless to say...not one kids followed me and I preferred it that way. ;)
Braxton and Marc came when the parade started and joined in the fun. Braxton LOVED chasing all the bikes and wagons! He was so mesmerized by the streamers and shiny things. He had some fun for sure.

After the parade we went home, took naps, made snacks and got amped up for the fun BBQ later that evening. It is always so fun to get together with friends and especially when you have friends who like to have some fun! :) Fireworks...or so we thought, ended our night. Millie was tucked away in bed and the night owls went out to the hill to watch the display. Well, apparently no one notified VG because they were cancelled. ha Thank goodness 100 yds. from our front door we had a nightly display of fireworks for a week prior so we were fine to go inside and help Marc study ;)
