Snow Day!

We had our first snow day here in Omaha and boy did it produce a lot of snow! I still find it quite funny that a normal day of snow in Utah, shut the whole city down out here. They DO NOT plow any of the residential roads and it gets way more icy but if you have driven and lived in it your whole life then it wasn't a huge deal. Perk of the whole day was having Marc home most of the day! They had school get cancelled before it even started snowing. haha Gotta love it! He even got to sleep in the next day so that was great too. :)
I really do a good snowy day now and then. I didn't have a need to go anywhere or do anything. It was a nice cozy day with the kids and we loved every second of it. The trick is having the snow only come every now and then. ha We want the spring!!! Here are some of the happenings from that day.

Braxton lounged in his toy box most of the day. It is his new "hang out"
We did a lot of lounging and playing and I baked most of the day because Millie's party was the next day. I did manage to make a nice hot soup and rolls so we could enjoy the snow from the warmth of our cozy home. After dinner Marc decided to shovel the walks and we thought Brax would love to join in. NOPE! It was his first time dressing up for the snow and I think it will be his last. He definitely hated the snow. He stood in one spot crying for about 10 min. haha I love that boy.
He was not having it!
After we got Braxton all undressed and back into his comfort zone, Millie woke up from her nap and I figured we could just use the same snowsuit and see if she would like the snow. SHE LOVED IT! Other than the fact that she couldn't walk in the boots (2 sizes to big) she loved it! She cried when I took her back in...or that could be because she face planted in the snow. haha Either way. I got one child who HATES it and one who LOVES it. Next year will be interesting (because we all know that's the next time this playing in the snow thing is going to happen)

I am loving the new experiences we are getting out here in Omaha but adventure or not, I still don't have to like the snow. ;)
