Millie Turned One!

Our sweet, fiesty, beautiful, smart, Millie turned one! It's amazing how time can move so fast! I still remember so vividly having her and bringing her home for the first time! She truly is such an amazing little girl and I don' t know what we would do without her in our little family! We are truly so blessed and we just love her so much!
I love seeing pictures of Millie from when she was a newborn to now. Back then I didn't notice it as much but she was just as feisty when she was born as she is now. She is very strong and wants to be so independent. She was like that a year ago and she still is now (even more now that she can walk!)
Even when she was a newborn everyone loved to hold her and she would give anyone that would look a huge grin. She is all smiles and has been from day one. She has always been a chatter-box.
Then there are the faces! Oh those beautiful faces that make you laugh! She is a very expressive little girl (wonder who she could have gotten that from?) You can tell whether she is happy, mad, sad, concerned, just by the look on her face. Once again, I didn't notice them as much as I do now but she was doing some of her famous faces from day one!

Millie is so happy and loves to go, go, go. She was never really the cuddly type but I am ok with that now because she will now walk up to me at full speed and just give me huge snuggles. I think she is now realizing how much we need each other. She is such a smart little thing and has always been on top of doing the things that "normal" babies do. It's weird to not have to teach her how to do things that are just innate in kids but I am so thankful for her and how bright she is.  She definitely got that from her dad.

Millie was never really satisfied with life until she learned how to be mobile. She was so wiggly and just wanted to keep up with Braxton! She now keeps up with him and when it comes to food, will beat him to the spot no problem. ;) She is such a great sister and teaches, not only Marc and I, but Braxton! At first she didn't care too much for Braxton's tackling and biting...but now that she can keep up I see her little competitive spirit bursting through and is starting to tackle back!
I know I put a lot of pictures on here but it's because there really is never a dull moment with Millie. She keeps things fun and silly and brings a whole new light to living life. She is curious but cautious at the same time. She is fiery but so loving. She is strong but willing. She listens and then tests how far she can go. I am loving this stage of life and I have loved every stage (maybe not all of the spit up though haha).

I know that Millie was sent to our family to teach us and be such an amazing sister, friend, and advocate for Braxton. She is an amazing little girl and surprises us on a daily basis with the things she is soaking up! I just absolutely can't get over how truly wonderful it is to be her mom and I am grateful everyday for her! We love you Millie and we are so excited that you are ONE! It has been such a happy year! Love you baby girl! :)
