So...It's been a month since my last post! That is not like me at all but that's what happens when the hubs is busy busy busy with school! A month has gone by which means my little (big) Millie is one month older! I cannot fathom that she is 8 months and that 8 months ago she came to our family wide eyed and happy as can be. :) A LOT has happened in those 8 months and now my little baby is seeming older and older! Don't get me wrong...I LOVE that she is becoming more independent and has the best thighs around but I sure do wish she liked to cuddle again. haha
Well, since the last post, Millie has:
learned to crawl everywhere! I find her in some of the most random places getting stuck. haha She cracks us up all the time. She is a pretty slow crawler. Nothing seems to motivate her either way. She is very much a diva in that sense. She stands up to anything she can get those little fingers gripping on and walks along watching her feet separate...then come together. haha it's funny!
She has this funny little mannerism with her toe. Whenever she is sitting she rests her right foot on her left big toe. It is seriously the funniest thing! She has these little dainty feet and yet they can hold up some serious leg.
Our Millie is very photogenic and will pose for just about anything...She loves to play with her brother and follow him around. Nap time is not really her vocabulary and will boycott at least one nap a day. She sleeps really good at night only waking up for 10 min for a bottle and going back to sleep. However, she is still in our room and probably will be until she sleeps (uninterrupted) for 8 hours so she doesn't wake the sleeping giant (Braxton). We weren't blessed with the best sleepers but we were blessed with some amazing kids!
Basically, any toy that is Braxton's is Millies. Most of those toys have been through the wringer with Brax and now they get some TLC with Millie. She will take a toy out (one at a time) and play with it and when she is done start the process over again. ha
The other day when church got over Braxton fell asleep in Millie's carseat and we couldn't afford to wake him up so Millie got to ride in the big kid carseat and LOVED it! She might be getting this carseat soon! She doesn't like the car anymore in her other one and will SCREAM until we are out. In the bigger one she didn't make a peep!
Even though Millie crawls and can keep a pretty good distance from Brax, she still hasn't figured out how to get out of being bit! If you can see there is a perfect bite mark on those chunky legs which became a bruise :( Poor Millie! She needs to now learn how to say "no no no Brax"!
Millie loves to EAT, laugh, TALK, cry when she doesn't get her way, play with her brother, and swing! She thinks that is the best! In this picture she kind of has a little evil face but trust me she sure is enjoying it. Her dad gets her laughing the most and when she is crying will call for mama.
We are lucky to have our sweet little Millie in our home! A lot of our friends and neighbors just love her because she is more than willing to give them a smile. I have noticed that she is getting some attachment and will notice strangers. I like that though because Brax is so over the top the other way!
Millie is a fiery little girl and I can already tell that she will keep her brother in line. haha We are so grateful that she is a healthy and happy girl and we love that she came to us! Thanks for brightening every day!!!

Millie's "toe pose" is the funniest thing I have ever seen !!! Halarious! Miss her so much! I wish her and McRae could chase each other along the couch!
I laughed out loud when I saw the pic of her swinging with Marc. Haha I love the facial expression. She is such a doll and I want to see her soon!! She and Rylee need to hang together. XOXO miss you.
