It was amazing! My fake crown was all laid out, popcorn popped, tea and scones made, pillow and favorite blanket ready. My phone buzzed at 2 am. I woke and up ran to the television. It was the moment I had been waiting for, for over 120 days! That’s right everyone…I witnessed history (at least that’s how I put it so I justify losing my mind and priceless sleep over a wedding clear across the world) as the commoner Catherine Elizabeth and the Prince William of Wells got married!
Now, I do have to be honest. I really didn’t have popcorn and tea and all that junk but I really watched from start (2 am) to finish (7 am). I couldn’t peel my eyes off the screen. You just might be thinking right now, “What a Looney!” but it had to be done. I just love fairytales! Growing up on Disney movies my whole life sure didn’t help the fact that I wanted to see someone drive off in a carriage happily ever after. It was a Cinderella story!
It was hilarious because I was actually getting butterflies when I saw her in her dress. It was absolutely gorgeous, she was absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t get enough! Sometimes I wish I was British so I could dress all sophisticated with the little hats and fascinators (little headband hats ha). I told Marc that I will be going to England before I die. haha I just love history and I witnessed history in the making. My only problem is that when I finished watching I wasn't satisfied. It's like watching Harry Potter or other sequels and you have to watch the next one and the next one to feel fulfilled. I am just going to have to watch them live their lives so I fill fulfilled waking up at 2 am. haha
I had never seen a wedding like that in real life. I am so used to temple marriages and to see this way was weird no matter how many weddings you see in movies! Though it was good, I couldn’t help but think how sad it is that they won’t really have a fairytale ending. All of that hype, money, and fanfare for something that won’t last…eternally anyway. They seem like such a cute couple and that they really love each other but I wanted to tell them how they really could have a happy ending. One day they may know the truth about the gospel...That might be a while but any time is better than none. Right? :)
Well I am so sorry that I posted about my guilty pleasure. Some of you might look down on me now. You might even be thinking you knew me and now you wish you didn't...but it was worth every little minute of Barbara Walter specials and documentaries on the royal family to the Finale of a modern fairytale. haha

Janelle, I did the same thing! I'm glad I'm not the only one that is a sap for fairy tales. I'm glad that I found your blog so I can keep up with your cute family.
