Mother Nature on Mother's Day

I would have to say this Mother's Day was the best one to date! I had my three beautiful kids and handsome husband pamper me with breakfast and just a relaxing day! I'm so lucky to be a mom and though it's hard most days, it's not hard to find the joy and overwhelming gratitude I have for my kids! They make me better. Period. End of story!
After a great day at church we has the elders over for dinner and that's always a good time. Millie and Braxton LOVE when the elders come. She asks every time she sees them if they can come "home" for dinner. Haha After they left we had about an hour before Mother Nature decided to celebrate her day with some severe weather! ;)
The sky turned green and tornado sirens were going off and we were hunkered down ready to have some fun...Marc of course had to stay by the window the whole time and take pictures. I think he was so worried about our car that he would have ran out if hail came haha that would be our luck with a new car.
We have had the sirens go off multiple times before but this time it was right in down town omaha. It was crazy and I have never seen a storm that bad! It was eerie but cool.
Millie loved it because we got to have what she thought was a "tea party" we colored, played dress up and her and brax played in the cupboards haha
Marc found a great safe spot for Millie and her doll...she thought it was so fun! Brax and Jordan just chilled and acted as if nothing was happening outside ha
In the end we were safe, nothing was damaged by our house and only one tornado touched down five miles west. Mother Nature did her thing while I got to celebrate being a mother! Pretty good day ;)
