We had an untraditional, yet, amazingly fun Thanksgiving! We went with a couple of our friends and their kids to the nearby casino for a Turkey Day Buffet! It was so delicious and overly filling! haha We all ate way too much but isn't that what Thanksgiving is for? :) It was so much fun! We missed our families so much but we are so grateful for friends (who are our family out here) that we can create memories and traditions with. When we were done, Millie had eaten so much that she zonked two seconds into our drive home and Braxton was delirious from knocking down two bottles and wouldn't stop laughing! haha When we got home Millie slept and Braxton played while we lounged on the couch waiting to eat our pies! I figured since I wasn't cooking a full on meal I would bake our favorite pies (plus, store bought pies are not very good). Pumpkin Chiffon and Banana Cream. We are two days out and Marc is almost finished with his pie and I am not even half way done! I need someone to come over here and help me finish! haha
We also decorated for Christmas the day before Thanksgiving! I am usually one who likes to wait until the day after Thanksgiving but since we have been in Dental school we have had to decorate early so we can enjoy the decorations before we leave for the holiday! So much fun! I love decorating for Christmas! :) The kids are OVERWHELMED with all of the fun toys and trinkets they get to play with now. ha
I am so thankful for all the Lord has blessed our family with! We are truly so blessed and it just takes a second of watching my two children play with each other, Marc wrestling with the kids, a hug, a relaxing day on the couch, a drive to get an ice cream cone, family dinner, bath time or whatever the activity may be...to remind me of the amazing family I have and the love that we have for each other! No matter the trial we may be going through, we have each other to lean on and to learn from. As we have moved a lot over the past couple years I love being reminded that it doesn't matter where you are that brings you joy, if you have your family to surround you, that is all that matters! Christmas is coming quick and oh boy are we so excited to be back with our families! Only THREE MORE WEEKS! :) Happy Thanksgiving!!

Janelle, I just saw your blog from Julie's! Your family is so adorable. Did you know my husband is going to dental school too? We're in Indianapolis, just our first year here! Your kids are so so sweet. :)
