Real Life

Today...we are back to real life. :( The last month has been so much fun and as a family we didn't have a care in the world. No where we HAD to be, no professors giving deadlines and No worries! It was ablsolute BLISS! I must say that the kids and I were SO SPOILED! We had dad with us for 30 straight days. It was so fun! During our break we jam packed so much in and made so  many memories! This is a picture overload but oh well. haha
The past month the McRae family...
drove to utah, played, took pictures (mom made them)
Had an olympic opening ceremonies party complete with Yorkshire pudding and English muffins. haha we then watched the olympics EVERY night from that day on.
 lounged around
took baths (first time taking a bath together...Millie LOVED IT. She thought Braxton was hilarious!
 Shopped and worked on projects
Went fishing almost every night for a week straight...

Took  A LOT of drives and got ice cream cones
Marc showed me how to protect Millie from Braxton biting her...create a cage. haha
Had slumber parties (Millie and Marc) we had to train her how to sleep again...still a work in progress.
Millie learned to sit and somewhat protect herself from Braxton
went to the zoo for the first time as a whole family and the kids were awake!!
Since Marc was there to help out a lot more, things got a little out of hand. He played jokes on me the whole time and would do things like dress the kids in each other's clothes, feed them all around the house, put their clothes on backward, teach them funny songs and made them laugh hysterically ALL THE TIME! They were so happy to have their dad at the house full time for a while. Now they are a little depressed having just me around...the no fun mom! ha
Braxton had surgery :( He got new ear tubes, some of his adenoids taken out, a bronchoscopy and a laryngoscopy. They found a Laryngeal cleft and will need surgery to fix that here in a couple months. So sad he has to go through all that he has to but we got some good information and hopefully he won't asperate his liquids anymore!

We had some late nights and some nights Braxton and Dad would fall asleep on the couch. Braxton fell asleep standing up in this pic. haha
Here we are one afternoon watching  USA basketball. We would catch Millie and Braxton watching a lot.
We went to church history sites and Kansas City. But the best part...we got to hang out with dad!
This break was much needed for Marc, Me and the kids. We had a blast and are so glad we enjoyed every waking moment together! ;) I am sure Marc is a little excited to be back to school and not changing dirty diapers but we sure loved having him home for a little bit. Another semester down and this one I guess is really hard so we will take it one day at a time! Thanks for all your hard work in school and all you do for us Marc! We love you!

Oh my goodness Nelly! Seriously I vote you the best mom in the world. I love all your adventures and that you dont let kids keep you from doing things. I want to be like you in so many ways but this quaility for sure. I don't even know how you find some of things you do. I told Jordan I am taking us all on adventures as soon as im done with school! Love you so much and thanks for always brighting my day and making me want to be a better mom every time I read your blog!
