Growing Up

As I sit here having contractions about every 6 min, just lost my MP (mucous plug) and hoping and praying to go to the hospital within the next 24 hours, I realized that our little Braxton is getting big! It is so crazy that he is already 15 months!!! January flew by and now we are on the verge of having Millie come. He is going to be such a great big brother. After this last month he will have a lot to teach his little sis. :)

He is starting to inch his way across the furniture. It's a slow but steady learning process because he gets so nervous when he stands up to things. His physical therapist is so impressed with his motivation to move. Yay Braxton! He now tries and is successful at pulling himself up to the most complicated pieces of furniture...he uses those big chompers of his as a third hand to do so. haha

He gets into EVERYTHING! I absolutely LOVE it! He loves to chew on all of Marc's papers and books. I guess if Marc ever needs an excuse he can actually say his son ate his homework. ha Since he is becoming a big brother soon...He now has had a few big changes come into his little world. He is in a front facing car seat which means he has to sit in the shopping cart all the time ( Side note: I hate the whole shopping cart thing. They are so disgusting and since Brax gets sick easy, this is not a very easy change). This was his first big outting to Walmart and he fell right to sleep. haha
I have done a lot of observing this past month and I think Braxton has a definite eye for blue, circular/round things. He will play with any toy really but if it came down to choosing between two toys, I am pretty sure he would go after this ring! haha He cracks me up. He is learning so much!Loves dad's hat. He like to take it off and bite it.

Another big boy change is sitting in a restaurant high chair! This was his first time and he did really good. We fed him some yogurt (which got ALL over him) and then he just played. It is definitely different experience going out to eat when they are in a high chair. He hasn't figured out how to tip his bottle yet when he is sitting so that will be our next hurdle. Braxton got a pretty bad cold which I got too. :( For a few days there we were both out of comission and trying to figure out what would make him feel a little better was a little difficult. Marc came up with a GENIUS idea...he loves his bath and loves these little balls that he has. So, Marc put both together and made our sick little boy the happiest boy in the world! He played in there for 30 plus min!Here are the remnants of him being sick...

He found the tupperware and now gets it out every day!He LOVES to wrestle with dad. He has learned to crawl over obstacles and going over dad was a big one! ha

He also got a new little cousin. Little McRae. He didn't notice him right away...then he started getting fussy and Braxton looked at him. haha McRae is such a cutie! Braxton looks like a bruiser next to him. I am positive that McRae will out grow him soon ;)

He also got to hang out with his girl cousins while we were waiting for McRae to be born. They loved him and made sure he was taken care of. :)His big boy carseat! He didn't notice much of a change. haha

His favorite thing to play with! His little high chair! I think he knows to go there when he wants to eat.

Such a big boy now! We can't believe how much he is learning and improving. He got weighed today and he is back down in the 15 lb range. Little Stinker! He is 27 1/2 inches now and still has the cutest little head. haha He looks a lot older in the face but walking around with him and having a big belly I get a lot of stares and a lot of questions/comments: How old is he?! How far apart will they be?! You are going to have your hands full!! I loved that stage...7 months is a great age! haha Little did they all know that he is 15 months! We are so excited for our little family to grow and for the big man of the house to have another person to teach. We learn from Braxton every day. He is such a special spirit and we are so blessed to have him! Love you Brax!
