Braxton's 1st Birthday Party

Well it's official that I have overdone it with the pics on this post but...I had to get every moment of Braxton's 1st Birthday Party! It was about a week early but Marc didn't have school on Friday and all of his family and my family would be down south. So it was obvious that we should pack up the car and get down there and share such a great event with the whole fam! :) First of all, I have to thank my SIL and BIL Becky and Matt for letting us use their home...AGAIN for Braxton's party. They just have the perfect party house. We told them it wouldn't be an annual event because here in about 6 months we are moving to Omaha. haha But really thanks for letting us use your beautiful home! It made the party perfect!

Braxton had a blast during his whole party! He didn't know what was going on but he sure loved it! haha
The theme was Superman so it was only fitting that he got a not so greatly decorated Superman cake. :)The party favors
The cupcakes with B's on them. haha

The banner that I really shouldn't have made but I had so much fun doing! ha

And my fav...his one year collage. This was my favorite thing. I got to go through all of his pics and highlight his first year of life. It was so much fun to see the progress he has made in just a year's time!

HE LOVED HIS CAKE (at least the bright frosting and candles)! It was hilarious!

Uncle Matt trying to help him blow his candles out...

He was so curious what Marc was putting in front of him! He was ready to dig in.

And he did! haha

He didn't eat it by any means but he sure liked the colors and texture! He couldn't figure it out. He had enough of that and realized he wasn't getting a full tummy so we brought in the reinforcements...Bottle! His chubby fingers were all covered in frosting! It was the greatest moment ever! I was just so proud that he would play with his cake!

We did presents before the cake and he got some amazing things! Thanks to all of our family members! He loved the wrapping paper and helping open the presents. (we practiced opening presents before the party so it wasn't new to him haha)He got books, blocks, a shopping cart cover so I can finally take him out of his carseat, clothes, a fire engine, balls, a sick pair of Jordans, and the lifesaver of the party...a little high chair! We didn't have one so I was so glad that Ruth had got him his own little seat.

He loves the lights on this thing. ha

Markus and Brax playing All the nieces and nephews...Rush loved Matt and Becky's backyard. It was so cute because Ruthie kept giving him kisses on the cheek. Little Micah and Halie thought that was the funniest thing in the world. Grandma Ruth with the little guysBraxton just wanted down to play with the wrapping paper. :)

And after all of the fun...he ZONKED on Grandma J! haha He sure had some fun!
This was the best party ever because we got to share it with our families who have been there for us throughout Braxton's first eventful year. We are so grateful for all of the gifts but mainly so grateful for family traveling and helping us celebrate our favorite boy in the world! He has been through a lot but having everyone there for us sure made it a lot easier! Thanks Everyone! We Love You! And Braxton...Mom and Dad love you so so much! Thanks for coming to us! :)
