At the moment...I am obsessed with apples! Actually, I take that back, I am always obsessed with them but this time of year always makes it a lot easier to get ripe, cheap, crisp ones. haha Like many people out there who do the whole carameled apple thing, we decided to finally follow suit and join in the fun! Ever since Marc and I have been married I have wanted to do it but he always talked me into just the caramel dip you buy...NOT THIS YEAR! I took the initiative, made a mess, got back into tradition, and ate the deliciousness that is called carameled apples. It was so much fun! And so I could take pictures of our first ever apple event of our married life Marc did most of the work :) He did quite well. Oh and it's ok to be jealous of our lovely abode (many people are! ;))...our apt. is off the hook! haha

Here is Marc stirring the lovely caramels...on our itty bitty stove.

Yes...I am aware there are forks in the apples instead of sticks. The caramel package didn't provide 5 sticks this time :( I guess we are in a recession what was I thinking!

Still stirring...Marc was worried this would take too much of his study time. haha Thankfully I halved the recipe so it only took a couple minutes

During this time Braxton was having way too much fun in his jumper. He could care less about the whole apple thing...at least this year.

Marc didn't like how I dipped my apple so he decided to show me how to get the whole thing covered in caramel. I told him it would be way too much but he learned his lesson when he tried to scrape off most of it. haha
The magnificent end product! It was delicious but very messy! I think I might be doing this one more time before Halloween. It's healthy right? haha No more caramel dip for us! We are stepping it up :)
