Oh Braxton...if only we could've skipped what happened this morning. It's your ten month old birthday for crying out loud!
At 6:45 this morning Braxton had to get his tubes replaced in his ears. Before we got to the hospital though, I drove around Salt Lake City to put him to sleep. haha He did FANTASTIC this morning (thank goodness because I was by myself this time) but even though we have been through this multiple times...it only gets harder to starve your child! ha Hopefully this is the LAST TIME we will have to mess with his ear tubes. I handed off the little man to the doctor he was gassed to be put to sleep.
P.S. I guess this stuff really makes them mad when they wake up. When the anesthesiologist told me this, I just nodded my head and thought it couldn't be that bad...guess again! haha
When I left him it was sad but I am used to it by now. I totally trust the doctors and he seems to be just fine when I leave him but when I was walking down the hall all of these workers kept coming up to me and telling me that he was in good hands and that I shouldn't worry. haha I don't know if I looked worried, but I wasn't. Maybe I just looked like it because I was SOOOO tired. I wanted to tell them that I had been through worse...tubes are nothin compared to the other procedures. haha Once I got in the recovery room and at that point he was sound asleep, so peacful, but then the sleeping giant woke up! He was so sad!!! He wanted his bottle so bad but on the other hand he was too sad to take the bottle. Once he got enough sugar water down him, he stopped crying, fell right to sleep and we went home. Sleeping still :) He deserves all the rest he can get. I might just take a nap too. haha
