Labor Day Weekend (Emphasis on the Labor)

Oh Labor Day. What a wonderful holiday! It's kind of a weird one to like but I have always liked it. Probably because most of time it was spent at the Lake for the last trip of the season or some type of camping acitivity. Mostly, it lets me enjoy the "end" of the summer and brings on my favorite season!!! FALL!

Anyway, to get back to the title of this post, I can't say that this was the most eventful Labor Day weekend of my life. My family came up which was what I had been looking forward to for a whole week! I knew that we would be doing a lot! Sadly, Marc had to study...THE WHOLE WEEKEND (it's ok though, it is for our future!) so it was just going to be me and Brax hanging out with the fam! Well, that worked...ONE DAY! I was so pumped that Angela, Brace, and Rush came up to see our place and go to the zoo! Those passes come in handy man! NO ONE paid!! Woo Woo. It was so much fun to go with them. Rush loved the animals and of course Braxton slept! haha When they left I thought that I would be heading up the mountain for some good ol' dutch oven cookin from my master chef dad but Braxton got SICK! I was so bummed. We had to leave church early and I cried. :( I just wanted to get out of the house and do something! Braxton takes priority though and we stayed home. It was fun to relax but Marc was busy enjoying his studying so it was a sick boy and me.

The next day I thought we could go and at least have a little picnic or something...NOPE! It rained! Honestly I think that I was meant to learn the real meaning of the holiday this year. I did laundry (which takes 4 hours), deep cleaned, showered at 1, my parents did visit on their way home THANKS!, and grocery shopped at 9 at night. Really, I accomplished a lot and should be so proud. I just had high expectations. Oh well. I guess it's called LABOR Day for a reason. Maybe next year...well maybe in the next three years. haha

Me and Brax at the Zoo. He wasn't very happy so I dipped my finger in apple juice and let him have a taste. He HATED it. haha We still had fun...I think he was wishing Marc was there.

Ang and I. PREGO!! haha She looks better than me and she is due in 4 weeks! Jealous! I am so glad they came up to relieve my sanity! I can't wait for little Rylee to get here!!

Rush and Brax. Braxton was just wondering why he keeps ending up in this place (the zoo). haha Even though it's over, I really acutally enjoyed the weekend for the most part. I guess it's what you make it out to be. haha Well now I have decorating for Fall to look forward to. I think this will happen a little before Sept. 21...I just LOVE the holidays!!
